Should you forgive your ex-girlfriend if she left you for someone else but says she realizes her mistake and is very sorry or should you stay with the new woman in your life who you've known 3 months?

Thanks for this, she said that there was someone else who showed her attention, very soon realised it was a mistake and says so sorry will never neber hurt me again. I could not move on with new woman as i kept hearing her voice please saying please give me a second chance. I knew i was not giving her much attention also as we was in a rut. I mentioned thsi to the new woman about her wanting forgiveness and she said we could not move on until you tried, but she wont wait and i understand that. but it saddens me as i realise she wont want me again, even if i realise that going back and forgiving was a misatke, no spark etc.im so confused..

AnswerRealize that the mistake this person made was not being honest with you and having the respect for the relationship to tell you her feelings before something happened. What was it that made her realize her mistake, was it that the grass wasnt greener on the other side. I say let her go and find someone that will be honest with you at all times.

You have hardly any choice but to stay with the new woman in your life, I am afraid. You are a sensible man, not a gambler. Your former girlfriend left you because somebody better came along. You love her, but she made it clear, that she can live without you, so her feelings are not like yours. You can take her back and hope for the best, but

1) you will loose your new relationship

2) the relationship with your old-new lady would be transformed and ugly. The sense of comfort, mutual understanding and safety between you two will be gone.

I know your pain. Do not trade your new relationship for empty fantasy. I recommend your stand your ground and blame your ex-girlfriend for your your pain and misery.
