I have had quite a bit of experience getting cars fixed and since I ALWAYS lease my cars, I have had to make sure any/all repairs were done perfectly.
IF, whatever you are getting fixed is UNDER WARRANTY still, then you SHOULD take it to the Dealership.
IF it is NOT UNDER WARRANTY, then I would heavily Recommend that YOU NOT TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, typically Prices for Fixing Anything at a Dealership is AT LEAST 50% MORE expensive than getting it fixed anywhere else.
Example:
Someone hit my 2006 Cadillac Escalade, on the passenger side Front Headlight and a large dent and scratches between the Front Headlight & Door. The quote from the dealership was $2745.68
I took it to 2 body shops and the quotes from them were around $1000 ($850.00 from one and $1100 from the other).
So I would recommend NOT getting your car fixed from the dealership if Budget is of ANY Concern to you. But Make SURE to do your homework and choose a good place to get any work done on your car(s). Also Make sure you go to AT LEAST 2 Different places (ideally you should go to 3 Places) to get a quote on whatever work you need done.
