To replace the front bearing, jack up front and remove the wheel.Remove the brake caliber assembly and pads. The brake caliber guide ,held in place by 2 bolts that is bolted to the hub assembly has to be removed in order to remove the rotor.Remove the 3 bolts which hold the wheel bearing to the hub assembly, from the backside.Remove the 35mm axle nut using an inpact drill or strong arm.Tap the axle out of the assembly and the bearing assembly should come out from the front.
Your throw-out bearing has went bad in the clutch assembly. You will have to replace the bearing. Inquire about a throw-out bearing at your local auto-parts store. It is a good rule of thumb that if you're going to dissasemble the clutch assembly, you should replace the clutch, and pressure plate too! When clutch-assy has been removed, check the fly-wheel for scarring on its face where the clutch assembly was once attached. The face should be smooth, and the fly-wheel should NOT be warped, pitted, or damaged! If it is, replace it before you put a brand new clutch assembly back onto the vehicle. it all depends on which wheel bearing you are trying to replace. for your front wheel bearings you have to remove the brakes, and axel. then you have to have a new bearing pressed into the housing. for a rear wheel bearing most of the time you can only purchase a pre packaged hub assembly. to replace that remove the brakes then remove the four bolts located on the rear of the hub assembly and it should come right off.
If all goes well the job should take about an hour with proper tools and equipment. Keep in mind that if the hub/bearing assembly is rusted in, it could take longer.
The wheel bearing is located in the Hub Assembly. It provides a reduced friction environment, making the wheel turn easier. Jack your car up then take off your tire. there should be a large nut in the center of the hub that is your wheeling bearing nut. there is also a bearing on the back side that you must remove the brake caliper to get to.
If the problem was caught in time, then the only thing you need would be the wheel bearing assembly itself (I believe that it is 'sealed' on that year) and the associated seals, etc. If the trouble was was not caught in time the axle spindle MIGHT be worn and in need of replacing also. You will not know until you pull the wheel assembly and look.

How do you replace a starter on a Cadillac Fleetwood front wheel drive Where is the starter located? Is this a difficult job I should pay someone to do or a regular joe and do this.
No, you should not. You are either tightening the wheel bearing to tightly or too loosely or the bearing race needs replacing. Take the vehicle to a professional and see what is wrong.
cost 3-4 grand to replace
