It really doesn't matter what your friends think. You should be able to be honest with your best friend, and even if he doesn't feel the same way, he should still be a friend. (If he starts to avoid you, or make fun of you, he wasn't much of a friend to begin with.) Secrets and lies can kill a friendship!
