I have the same problem, I think it is the dirt and dust in the water that settles to the bottom of the pool during the night. I now wait until morning to run the pool cleaner. Found it to be a waste of time doing it at night.....

try building it up on the low side with some thing. Have poured a concrete pad under a many above ground pools. But this can be very expensive. The best thing to do is find the lowest part of were the pool is to be and dig out level everything to that level. That way the pool can be assembled on the most undisturbed ground as possible making it easier to keep the bottem track level.Once the water is in the pool you can either backfill were you dug out with the dirt or if drainage could be a future problem backfill around the high area with rocks or use as a flower bed.

Just a reminder from me the bottom of all most all above ground pools have dirt or sand around the bottom of the frames and a little bit of dirt on the walls you should get 5 years or a little more before the frame weakens or the side or a wall blows out. your warranty should disclose this information, or call a pool dealer in your area.

Why does the ground have to be level for above ground pools?
So that the water doesn't drain out of the pool and so the pool doesn't fall over. I agree with the answer above but I have a more detailed answer. In a round above ground pool the water puts even pressure on the pool walls, and if the ground is not level one side will get more pressure. The imbalance will cause the pool to collapse under the strain.

If your pool filter is up and running, also it is best to clean the walls and floor if you have a normal to high chlorine level because this will be also your cleaning agent. Take a soft bristle brush, get in the pool and start cleaning, all the above should come off. it is better if the filter is running so you can vac out the dirt, when the dirt goes to the bottom of the pool.
