Why do most people not want Elena to end up with Stefan is Stefan the bad guy?
No. Stefan is 'the good guy' and Elena's long time boyfriend. Damon is 'the bad boy' and amazing. That's why no one wants Elena to be with Stefan! They want her to be with Damon!

No. she ends up with his beloved brother. damon salvatore and their love becomes stronger than what stefan and elena ever shared. They remain together till the end.

Elena does not end with Damon although they share alot of intimate moments in book 6 (The Return: Shadow Souls). Stefan is rescued and they all return to Fell's Church.

Actually Stefan doesn't and does in the book "Midnight" elena admits that she loves Damon and Stefan was shocked by this and said that he didn't realize he was holding elena and damon from being together but until then we'll have to see if in the series the same thing happens well we hope not because elena and stefan make a great pair and Stefan loves Elena unconditionally and so does Elena do let's just hope they do! This question really cant be answered because we don't who she chooses until March 15th, 2011 when the next book comes out. Elena has feelings for both Stefan and Damon so there is no real answer yet.
