  • Dressing in Australian businesses and French businesses are conservative and formal

DIFFERENCES:

  • In France, it is accepted if you are ten minutes late to appointments but in Australia it is frowned upon if you arrive late.
  • If you are a visitor in French business you are not allowed to introduce yourself and instead should allow the person who invited you to formally introduce you. However, Australians are friendly and it is acceptable for one to introduce oneself.
  • Australians in general so not present gifts in business but the French do
  • Australia is a democratic country, whereas France is a republic.
