It depends. You should still have Alltel until you get a letter in the mail saying you have Verizon. After you get the letter, you have to get Verizon phones and plans (you can keep all current phones and plans once u change to Verizon) Before you get the letter, you can still change to an Alltel phone or plan but Verizon customers cannot get Alltel stuff. Since it is already March, and if you did not get a letter saying you're gonna transition to Verizon than the merger is not gonna affect you
.
If u want to stay alltel once u get the letter, u can call customer service and request to stay on same plan as alltel customer. the letter does not state this, but my mom did it. she's still on prepaid alltel plan. prepaid alltel had Unlimited text, whereas, prepaid verion does not.
Yes, since Verizon Wireless bought Alltel, you can use a Verizon Wireless phone on an existing Alltel plan.
yes you can but if you wont an answer from a sales associate go to there website Verizon wireless and click on the phones. by shopping assistant you should see live chat if they are working at that time.
Verizon and AT&T have different operating systems towards each other. Verizon Wireless is a CDMA network where AT&T is a GSM network. Therefore, switching all this over would be expensive and difficult. So, no.
Well since there are many different types of Verizon phones there may be a few that you would like. A few good phones would be Apple IPhone, Revolution, and the Droid.
At this point, none. Verizon has not opened up their network to other carriers' phones yet. This process is due to be completed by the end of the year, probably June or July.
You cannot flash it since at&t is a GSM or "chip" phone it can only be flashed to other carriers that are GSM such as T Mobile or telcel, and cricket is a CDMA which can be flashed from phones such as sprint, verizon and alltel.
The top three mobile phone companies, based on current customers, are Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. Sprint is a close 4th since it combined with the popular company Nextel.
The pros of Verizon phones is that most of their phones are the newest and latest models. And since you are starting a whole new plan, remember that you have 30 days to change your mind on a phone you get. Also, they have great reception as well as a 4g lte data network for selected phones. Cons would be, for most people, the price of Verizon plans. They can get costly even for a simple data and calling plan.
Right now, the most popular US cellular phones are both carried by Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless has stolen the spotlight in the cell phone marketplace with the Blackberry and iPhone. These two phones are undeniably popular, because they provide internet access to customers. The Blackberry is viewed as a more professional and business-like phone since it operates with its own communications system. The iPhone is viewed as a trendy and stylish phone for young generations. Both phones offer high quality reception service and the ability to download a variety of cool applications. The only downfall is that both phones can be very expensive.
You can check out the deals from Verizon since they always offer deep discounts to attract customers.
Nope. Totally different Technology. Verizon uses CDMA and Cingular uses GSM CDMA carriers have better coverage in the United States, GSM service has a larger global footprint There ARE Hybrids out there. I think SAMSUNG makes one. But I'm assuming the question has more to do with NOT buying a new phone if you don't have to.
Unless Verizon is having a promotional deal with a lower price on their cell phones, it is usually cheaper to buy one of their phones on eBay, and on other websites selling different types of cell phones. Sometimes stores like Target, WalMart and other department stores will sell Verizon phones as well.
