Best Answer

is going to be basic. The pH scale is between 0 and 14. 7 is neutral (think human blood), and less than that is acidic (Coca Cola), and higher is basic (think anything with an OH- group, like lye)

How does a solution with a pH of 2 compare to a solution with a pH of 7?

A pH 2 solution is 100,000 times more acidic than a pH 7 solution. pH 2 is acidic whereas pH 7 is neutral

A solution with a pH of 5 has how many more protons in it than a solution with a pH of 7?

It depends on what the solution is. What affects the pH is the element. If there are more H+ ions in the solution you're referring to, the solution will be more acidic (lower pH). If there are more (OH)- ions in the solution, the solution will be more basic (higher pH).

A solution with a pH of 7 is how many times more alkaline than one with a pH of 6?

100 times more Hydrogen ions are in solution of pH=5 as compare to pH=7.

How does a solution with a pH of 7 compare to a solution with a pH of 9?

A solution with a pH of 7 compared to a solution with a pH of 9 would be more acidic.

What would be the pH of a basic solution?

more than 7.0

What is pH of an acid base and neutral?

An acidic solution has a pH less than 7, a basic solution has a pH greater than 7 while a pH of 7 is neutral.

PH of a neutral soultion?

Ph of a neutral solution is 7. less than that - acidic more alkeline

What is the acidic solution of pH?

Any aqueous solution will have a pH lower than 7.00 in order to be considered acidic.

How does a solution with a pH of 7 compare to a solution with a pH of 5?

Lower pHs are more acidic Higher pHs are more basic. Therefore, the pH of 5 will be more acidic than pH of 7 ** also, the pH of 7 is neutral. Edit by Kelvin876: Higher pHs are alkalines. **Each number lower is 10 times greater in acidity than the prior number. This would mean that a solution with a pH of 5 is 100 times greater in acidity compared to a solution with a pH of 7.

What is a solution that contains more hydroxide than hydrogen?

It is a basic solution, pH above 7

If a solution has a PH of less than 7 what is it?

If the solution has a pH < 7 then, it will be acidic in nature

What information does pH of a solution give?

pH of a solution tells us about the nature of a solution( i.e acidic or basic ) if pH of a solution is less than 7 tahn it's acidic if it's 7 then it's neutral and more than seven will make it base.
