Contrary to popular belief, the first people to come to Ireland are thought to have come from Spain by boat and were not Celts.
Please be more specific. The Celts were/are an ethnic group of people who inhabited Europe roughly from Spain to the Rhine and from northern Italy to and including Ireland. They were not one people, but a variety of tribes spread over a large territory.
I know for sure that the Celts were Ireland, and I'm almost as sure that the same people were in Scotland. That or the Irish Celts invaded Scotland. I read a book but can't remember exactly... sorry :(

Early Immigrants who most likely came from Scotland. The Celts had the advantage of weapons and etc. for conquest over Ireland. Most of the people who came to Ireland before the Celts, from the Continent via Scotland, were Dene-Caucasians. This large language family was all over Europe before the Indo-Europeans arrived.
