The airbag light turned on in the mini s but there was no accidenttried unhooking the battery to see if it would reset but it didn't is there anything else you to try to fix it myself?

There was a recall on early MINI Coopers for the wiring harness underneath the front seats being too short.
When you slide the seats all the way forward, it caused the wires to either break or for the connectors to snap.
You might get a dealer to replace it with the newer harness and then reset the light for free. They actually should but not all will.
The only way to turn off the light is for a dealer to reset it once the wiring problem is corrected.
