Most of The Bible was written well before the time of the church(s) as we know it today. Todays chruches can all be traced down to one man who was smitten with some sort of reformation or protestation bug. Only one church can be traced to Christ and it was in place before he came as a man. All else one reads outside the Bible is of man, by man and for nothing but confusion. The bible makes one statement, that no other such genre makes and if followed by everyone, would make a paradise on earth and that is,"love thy neighbor as thy self". Luke 8:2 tells us that Mary Magdalene was inflicted with seven demons (the 7 deadly sins);the Bible does not say that she was a prostitute. Also, there is no geneaology in the Bible which says that she was of royal blood. The Bible is the inspired word of God which helps us to gain salvation. It has nothing to do with controlling people. People can either believe in the Bible, which has endured the test of time, or they can believe in fictional Hollywood movies. But the truth can only be found in the Bible. _____________________ Many religious systems which have been developed with biblical material as a foundation have been about control, political power and wealth, to one extent or another.
