The bronco will stall Fail to restart it will crank but not turn over got to wait 5 minutes she starts again same if you turn it off to go in the store must wait 5 minutes to start it it will crank?

Sometimes in damp climates where it is damp in the morning or after dark the vehicle will not start due to the spark plug wires being too old and the insulation is rotted and arcing. all the energy is dissipating before it gets to the cylinders. turn the lights off of check in low light conditions and have a buddy turn the car over you may be able to see the sparks dissipating on the engine from the wires. replace the wires with good 8mm insulated spark plug wires. good luck!

Obviously check the oil level first. If OK, then sounds like your oil pump is bad.

My '89 behaved this way when the distributor "Hall Effect" magnetic pickup was in the process of failing. Next time it happens pull a plug wire and check for spark. If there is no spark it could be a failing distributor.
