Anglican Catholic Answer!
To be honest, I don't know when Henry established the Church ! I don't even know if he did? But essentially the Church was established in 312 Ad by the Emperor Constantine, the Catholic Church that is and that is what the Anglican Church is in England! The point is there was no other Church and everyone belonged to it.All Henry did was to take his place as chief magistrate very seriously and to point out to the Roman Court that whilst the Pope was head of the spiritual side of religion, here in England, he as chief magistrate was the man in charge of the bricks and mortar as it were. In not allowing allowing Rome to break English Law and the customs of a 1000 years, Henry was only doing what every English monarch had done [with the exception of King John and Hen,III.]
The Anglican Church was brought to Britain by S.Simon Zelotes, the Brother of Christ, according to Early Catholics. That was some 1500 years before Henry appeared on the scene. Someone's been misleading you! Not only was it brought from Palestine by Christ;s brother, but it was busily engaged in playing its part in the development of the Catholic Church in its formative years of the Ecumenical Councils and the struggle against the Arian heresy!
