Tundra is a large flat area found in the artic regions of Europe, Asia and North America that is void of shrubs, trees, or any other form of vegetations and having the grounds below its surface layer of soil always frozen. Tundra could also be reffered to as ice desert. barren lands located between isotherms 0 degrees and 10 degrees Celsius. The subsoil is permanentely frozen , allowing only small vegetation growth.
