Take it to a qualified mechanic. Some Autozone employees are good, others are not too intelligent.

Have your OBD-2 scanned you can buy a scanner or if you can get it to move your local autozone will scan it for free Unless you are a transmission expert, take it to a transmission shop. There is a problem with the OD unit.

If by show wrong you mean it tells you your in first instead of second gear going down the road that could be a simple fix. Theres a sensor on your shift linkage that tell you what gear your in. it that's out of broken it could just tell you your in a different gear. As well as if it will lead to the down fall of your transmission i'd have it checked it should pop up a check engine problem usually and your local autozone can asses the problem for you.

I've had this problem with the same transmission. Replace the input and output speed sensors and that will more than likely fix your problem - if not you have a more serious problem with the transmission.
