Pop out the switch on the drivers door; it may be a simple connection at the drivers side (master switch). All power runs thru this switch before going to the motors or other switches.
Problem with the SRS. Seek professional help. Not a DIY repair.
I had that same exact problem with a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, and it was indeed a bad oxygen sensor. Relatively cheap repair too.
1989 Nissan Sentra Wagon 5 Speed intermittently wants to die out. Unless I give it gas it will stall. It will start back up again, with the same problem until problem stops. No pattern to diagnose.
We have a 99 with the same problem. I've spoken with three others with the same problem. Gauges go out, come back on then go out for days at a time. When they do come back on, the fuel and odometer stay off. Great not knowing how much gas you have these days.

b/c it wants to go play...haha....u probably have a transfer case problem that is best checked out by a mechanic b/c u can tear up alot of unbroken parts trying to diagnose the problem urself...
