chemical bond
An element reacts with another element by sharing electrons. The elements keep sharing electrons until both elements have a full outer shell.
The energy is said to be given off as a photon of light.
Ionic bonding- the transfer of electrons from one atom to another. This results in ions, as the atoms which gain/lose electrons now have a charge.
An ionic bond results from the transfer of electrons from one atom to another. The atom that loses electrons becomes a positively charged ion, or cation. The atom that gains electrons becomes a negatively charged ion, or anion. The ionic bond that forms between them is the electrostatic attraction between the oppositely charged ions.
Ionic for transfer Covalent for sharing
chemical bond
By the complete transfer of electrons from atom to another.
Covalent bonding is the bonding that is required to complete a transfer of an electron from one atom to another.
ionic bond is formed by the complete transfer of electrons from one atom to another.
Ionic bonds involve the transfer of electrons from one atom to another.
Equivalent to ENERGY transfer
Yes it is. Ionic bond - by complete transfer of electrons from one atom to another Covalent bond - by the sharing of electrons between two atoms

An element reacts with another element by sharing electrons. The elements keep sharing electrons until both elements have a full outer shell.
The elements in the periodic table are arranged based on how reactive they are, which is based on how many electrons they have in their outer shell. For example, the elements on the ends are very reactive because on one side the elements have seven electrons and on the other the elements have one. The elements with one electron are trying to get rid of their electron whereas the elements with seven electrons are trying to find another to make their shell complete, as there are eight electrons in the outer shell of an electron shell.
an ionic bond is formed by the complete transfer of one or more electrons from the outermost energy shellof one atom to the outermost energy shell of another atom.
When an element enters into a compound, a chemical reaction occurs. This means that the elements chemically combine and sub-atomic particles transfer between the elements involved. An Example of a Compound: Sodium Chloride (Table Salt): Sodium + Chlorine --> Sodium Chloride
