Socket wrench and 14mm sockets. Should take off all the bolts it worked for my 1990.
Most starter's for anycar will be on the bell housing, The starter uses the tourqe plate to spin the crank.. normally 2 or 3 bolts but if your replacing the starter some need a busing to be replaced and its just better to have a shop do it cause they should have the tools to do so already.
This is not advisable if you are not an experienced mechanic as it has to be timed with the need for specialist tools if the timing goes out.

Simple! 1. disconnect the battery 2. Crawl under vehicle and remove two 14mm bolts holding starter. 3. Remover signal wire from solenoid 4. Remove main power wire 5. Bring new starter under vehicle with you 6. Replace signal wire 7. Replace power wire 8. put starter into hole. 9. Tighten two 14 mm bolts that hold starter 10. Attach battery 11. Set clock on radio 12. Clean tools 13. Bandage cuts on knuckles Piece of cake!
