What is the German view on World War 2 and Adolf Hitler?

There were two viewpoints of the general populous (I am leaving out the Nazi leader viewpoint). The most popular viewpoint was that they loved Adolf Hitler and what he wanted he got, even fighting in a war for him. The less popular view and less open view was that Adolf Hitler was a pig and madman, plus they hated the Nazis. The Jews were duped and killed. The popular view lived in ignorance and under Hitler's propaganda deceptions and verbal lies. The opposite view would join the underground and do all they could to to sabotage the Nazis. There was also the view that Hitler needed to be killed (that was a view in the Nazi Leadership that tried to kill him.) The young people really loved Hitler because they had been brainwashed to do so. So they fought in the end of the war thinking they could still win with some secret weapon Hitler claimed he had. That weapon was never produced. Hitler killed himself. The Allied Forces moved in and the Germans were hurt, mad, confused and sad. They were also hungry, homeless, jobless and lost without their Third Reich Nazi government. They did not think of themselves as being liberated. When the ignorant learned of the concentration camps they were shocked. Those who did know about them denied knowing about them because they had condoned them. The Nazi Leaders felt they had not committed war crimes and were only doing their duty. It took many decades for the Germans to recover from their guilt, confusion, grief and not knowing how to act. The hatred of the Germans wore off after about three decades.

What is Hitler's view of political leadership?

Defining the type of political leader that Adolf Hitler was can be a difficult task. He was, after all, a charismatic leader, a diplomatic leader, a highly organized and patient leader -- in many ways a successful leader, if also a failure in the end. It is most true, perhaps, to say that he was a power-hungry, tyrannical, and violent leader whose brief reign at the head of Germany was mercifully ended by the effort of the Allies.

What happened to the illegitimate son with a French woman fathered by Hitler during World War 1?

Adolf Hitler's alleged illegitimate son, Jean-Marie Loret, was born in 1918 and died in 1985 in Saint-Quentin. His biography can be read by clicking on the Related link.It was never proven if Loret's mother, Charlotte Lobjoie, had an affair with Hitler and if Loret really was Hitler's son. However, the commonly accepted view is that Hitler being the father of Loret is highly unlikely.
