Evidence shows Obama was born in Hawaii, not Kenya. But we can understand why some people are confused about this-- Barack Obama's father, who had the same name as the president, WAS born in Kenya. The president's actual birth certificate, showing his birth in Hawaii in 1961, has been examined by a wide range of people, including journalists, politicians from both parties, doctors, the past two governors of Hawaii, and three independent fact-checking organizations. Barack Obama was in fact born in the USA.
