In the book of Genesis, chapter 2, verses 20 - 25 we read the account of Eve being "made" from one of Adams ribs, vs. 21 - 22. Adam then, being first formed vs. 7, could not have been born of Eve.
If you insist that there must be a mother, then Adam was the mother of Eve.
Eve and Pandora are two characters from two different mythologies.
Pandora is the woman who was given a box containing the world's evil by Zeus, the supreme ruler of the heaven's. This stems from Greek mythology.
Eve on the other hand, is Adam's wife, according to the Hebrew Bible. She was made using one of his ribs and they became spouses. Thus, this is Jewish mythology.
They both essentially release the world's evils.
When Pandora opens the box, she releases sickness, death, hate, cold, and other horrors into the world. She was told not to, but her curiosity as to what lay inside overcame everything else.
Adam and Eve were told they could eat from any tree in the Garden of Eden with the exception of one. When Satan the devil, disguised as a snake, tempted Eve to eat one of the fruits, she did. Then she convinced Adam, too. Thus, disobeying God, they were expelled from the Garden, and suffered sickness, aging, and finally death.
Both of these stories make mention of a few similarities:
So to put it shortly: No, Pandora is not Eve's mother. They are different characters from different stories of mythology from different periods of time.
No, God created Adam in his own image, and then once he saw that Adam was lonely, he created a mate, Eve. Pandora has nothing to do with Adam and Eve and the story of creation.
Although there has been evidence, actual evidence. Not just from The Bible, that How the mother and father of Adam and eve really was. So to just say that "The Bible says so" does not come true. As more evidence is uncapped then I will enlighten those with closed minds.
Eve didn't have a mother, she was created out of Adam's side (Genesis 2).
Adam and Eve.
Adam and Eve
Adam resembled the Hebrew word for dust or earth (adamah) that he was made out of and Adam named Eve Eve because Eve resembles the word for living, and she was the mother of all living. For the record, God did not name her Eve, Adam did.
Gen:3:20: And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Adam's wife was Eve.
In the Bible, Kane and Abel were the sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the firstborn and Abel was the second son.
referring from the Adam's & Eve's family tree, there so many offspings but no wives ... I assum ed their mother involved was Eve.
No, because in any holy book it says that Eve was created from the rib of Adam so she had no sister or mother. Adam and Eve had only children nothing else.
After their violation of God's law, Adam is reported to have named his wife Eve, "because she had to become the mother of everyone living." (Genesis 3:20)
Eve was the wife of Adam; she was the first woman & the mother of Cain, Abel, & Seth. She also had other sons and daughters.
Lilith was Adam's first wife according to Hebrew folklore. But neither she nor a prior marriage for Adam is mentioned in the Bible. In fact, the book of Genesis only speaks of Eve as Adam's wife and the mother of their children.
Lilith didn't have a mother just like Adam and Eve didn't have a mother; they were all literally created by God.
