No, John Adams was not the President of US during WW2.

Actually he was the second US President, who served the office between the years 1797 and 1801. World War 2 happened in the late 1930s and into the 1940s, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt (often called FDR) was president at that time.

No- but there was constant serious friction with Britain and France who were at war with each other and who interfered with US ships even though the US was neutral.
