Generally such a person is DUTCH or NEDERLANDER. Of course, Amsterdam is a very ethnically diverse city, so a person who lives in Amsterdam may be ethnically Moroccan, Surinamese, Turkish, or Indonesian, instead of Dutch.

The Middle Colonies were more ethnically and religiously diverse than the other British colonies. Unlike the other British colonies, they actually had written freedom of religion laws. See link provided-
