No, not as I understand it. There well be much in the US Declaration of Independence which comes across as a socialist manifesto, but in practice it is a very different culture to what would be considered 'Socilalist'. As with the French Revolutionary ideals of Liberty, Equality & Fraternity: Fine words indeed. But the practice has been very, very different in essence.

∙ 16y agoDepends how far you are going back if you are taliking about British Colonialism then probably not and probably not democranism either more a mix of dictatorism as the King actually had a lot of power - thank goodness things got better - or autonomism - you see life can be full of isms and please don't take this as a criticism
