The USS Oklahoma (BB-37) had a length of 583 feet and a beam of 95.3 feet and carried a complement of 2,220 officers and men. When it was sunk at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 a total of 429 of its crewmen were lost. She was raised, but never saw action in WWII.
