It was finished in the 1940s and has been tested at various places since then. The most notable uses were at Nagisaki and Hiroshima Japan - August 1945.
august 6 1945 was the first and the second bomb was on august 9 1945.add. The first bomb exploded under the Manhattan Project was on July 16 1945, not long before the second and third bombs (above) were dropped in wartime.
The atomic bombs were delivered by the USS Indianoppolis
The test atomic bomb was tested in Trinity New Mexico near Alamogordo. There were the two atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. The Russians tested the atomic bomb and dropped it somewhere in 1949 (trust me I cannot spell the place) and they tested others in 1951, 1953, and 1955.
It didn't. Japan existed long before the atomic bomb
The first atomic bomb landed in Switzerland. Most people believe that it landed in Japan but there was actually one before that. >which of course landed in Switzerland
Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan. It was also tested in the Southwest US and out in the Pacific Ocean.
No, in fact they were preparing for an invasion of mainland Japan.
The atomic bomb has been tested in many parts of the world but it was used as a weapon in World War II when one each was dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.
Yes & No. There were 2 types of atomic bomb dropped on Japan. The Hiroshima bomb was a gun type weapon called "Little Boy". Testing of this weapon was considered unnecessary, and fissionable material was very scarce at any rate. The Nagasaki weapon, an implosion type weapon called "Fat Man", was so complex that testing was imperative. It was tested at Trinity site in July 1945,& the bombs were dropped on Japan a few weeks later. So, yes, one type of bomb was tested, one time, before they were used on Japan.

Los Alomos in New Mexico. It was known as the Manhattan Project.
If the tested bomb had not worked it is likely they would have tried dropping the other bombs. If Japan had surrender prior to the dates the bombs were to be dropped then the bombs would not have been dropped on Japan.
If you mean the one that was dropped on Japan, Yes. Japan surrendered an hour before it was dropped but the message arrived too late. Would you care to cite a source or provide any documentation to support your statement that Japan had surrendered before the second atomic strike?
