An example of total war would be a scenario such as existed in recent times.

Tony Blair and George Bush decided to attack Saddam Hussain to change the regime and also to discover any future weapons/ plans he might have about trying to drag Israel into war with all Arab States.

It started when Saddam tried to get a British company to make the barrels of a super gun aimed at Israel designed to drag all Arab states into war with the Jews who they believe accupy Arab land wrongly.

The tubes were said to be for food processing but on inspection were found to be far too highly developed for that purpose.

The Mussad ( The Israeli secret service ) discovered that the super guns designer had been desparate to sell his idea to the west but that failed and he had made a deal with Saddam,he was killed off and Her Majesties Customs had

intercepted the tubes being driven on the motorway on route to Iraq.

Saddam was given many warnings about his developing arsenal but made excuses about their purpose saying that the rockets were for defence and did not have the fuel to reach Israel, it was discovered that a simple stage in the rockets production

meant that a larger fuel cell could easily be fitted in order to reach jewish settlements.

Finaly he was given a last warning,Resolution 1441 but the French and German members had no stomach for any conflict and when Saddam breached the rules once more only the more dedicated members went to war.

Now let us take a different veiw! Saddam is still in power!,he fires a weapon into Israel and Israel retaliates,other Arab states join Iraq to fight the Jews,

Israel is a nuclear power and has little choice in the end but to use nuclear weapons,radio active oil does not travel well at all so we all starve to death or fight to gain more oil producing land worldwide,world war meaning total and utter destruction of life as we know it.
