your answer is in bold. i put some other useful knowledge about earthquakes in there for you.
a seismograph. these are especially used when there are earthquakes. an earthquake happens when the tectonic plates slip past each other, like the san Andreas fault in California, which is called a transform boundary. they can collide right into each other which would make one go under the other. the oceanic plate is more dense so it will go under the continental plate. this is called a subduction zone. also it is where mountains are created. like the himalayans in India. anyway, earthquakes shake the earth, which send waves through it. seismographs are used to figure out the distance to the epicenter of the earthquake, where it really occured. there are two types of waves that i have learned about, p-waves, which always come first, and s-waves.

They can detect radio waves, infrared radiation, ultraviolet radiation, x-rays, and gamma rays.
Tornadoes are usually detected using Doppler radar.
Using a transformer with a higher capacity that is needed by the device connected to it will not damage the device. This is as long as the voltage the device needs is the same as the transformers output.
I'm not sure but I hope someone Smart can answer it
A tube well is a device that extracts water from underground using electricity diesel or petrol .

astronomy using radio waves, rather than visible light. visible light and radio waves are essentially the same, only radio waves have a much longer wavelength. not everything emits light in the visible band, many otherwise invisible objects can only be detected using extreme wavelengths.
The ultrasound waves are allowed to pass through metal block to which are fitted detectors to detect the waves. If the metal block has a very small defect, such as an air bubble or a crack, then the ultrasound waves are reflected from such spots. The reflected ultrasonic waves indicates that metal block is defective.
A Hartmann generator is an electronic device that produces shock waves. It does this on the edge of a nozzle using a supersonic gas resonate.
The energy released by earthquakes take the form of seismic waves which travel through the ground. These are detected by a seismograph. Based on the amplitude of the seismic waves measured by the seismograph the earthquakes strength can be calculated (to give a value on the Richter scale). Large earthquakes can cause permanent displacements / deformation at the Earth's surface whereby the change in position of an object can be detected using GPS.
This is an example of a simile, as it compares waves to mountains using "as."
To direct sound waves from an electronic device such as an mp3, ipod , or CD player , to the ears without disturbing the environment by using speakers .
Fail-over is a term used with fault tolerance. It refers to the ability of a device or system to continue to work after a problem has been detected by using a backup or redundant device. The term refers to detecting a failing component and having the other component to the work (failing over to a good device).

There are a few differences. Radio controls use radio waves and reach a longer distance. Remote controls usually use infrared or bluetooth and are usually for only short distances.Remote control means (roughly speaking) remotely controlling a device using something that is not part of the device itself. The controlling device can be attached to the device using a wire or wires to transmit controlling signals. It can also be unattached with control signals being transmitted using radio signals, or light waves (infrared, ultraviolet). A more sophisticated device can also use standard network communication protocols along wires or WIFI or Bluetooth for communication and control.Radio control is remote control using radio transmission.
