NO.It was. I'd say Hitler was definatley the cause of the second world war! He invaded France and took them over. At this stage Britain had NOT declared war. Britain declared war after Hitler (Germany)invaded Poland. This was due to the fact he was planning to take over the world and create a perfect white race. He was ethnically cleansing millions of people, Jews, Romanies (Gypsies), and any mixed race. As far as we know he held no intentions of invading Britain, Britain declared war on him because he was clearly Evil! an they diddn't agree with his plans. Hitler was a soldier during the first world war which was pretty much over nothing much apart from an important figure being shot. Again this was caused by Germany. It's not so much a matter of blaming a country as a mixture of opinions exist in every country, but a warning as to what can happen if you let things get out of control. Read your history and you'll learn more.

On the contrary, one can argue that Britain was partly to blame due to past events. After WWI, Britain imposed harsh conditions on Germany that made many people in Germany suffer in poverty. With out the resentful feelings and hatred one can predict that Hitler would have never been supported by so many in Germany. He would also have not been "elected". As for WWI, Britain could also be blamed. Due to its growing colonies, navy and army. Many nations such as Germany felt threatened therefore improved their own military.
