the oil sending unit on a 2000 wrangler is located right next to the oil filter. you will need a large adjustable wrench and some Teflon tape. the part brand new from the factory is only about 60 dollars. the sending units for these vehicles are famous for going bad. one of the easiest fixes for low oil presure though. its black about 1 and half inches thick and about three inches long. you will have to disconect the wiring harness from the old one and reattach to the new one. should not take more than 2 minutes.

The 2000 Dodge Caravan oil sending unit is located on the bottom of the engine. It is on the front on a six cylinder, and the rear on a four cylinder.
It is in the oil Pan. You will have to drop the oil pan to change it.
4 Cylinder it is on the back of the block. 6 Cylinder it is next to the oil filter.

That would be on the drivers side cylinder head between #3 & #5 spark plugs.
the oil pressure sending unit on 1997 and up to 99 wrangler tjs and saharas are right above the oil filter i believe which is located on the left hand side of the block.
I have the same problem in my '95 straight 6. Mine is the sending unit. That could be it.
