In the United States constitution it is the sixth amendment that covers the right to a lawyer with Assistance to council right in which a criminal defendant has, under the sixth amendment, the right to be represented by council.
Gideon v. Wainwright, 372 US 335 (1963)The U.S. Supreme Court took the first major step on the Sixth Amendment issue of right to counsel by holding that state courts must provide counsel to indigent defendants in criminal cases.

THE SIXTH AMENDMENT! In Powell v. Alabama, 287 U.S. 45 (1932),the Supreme Court ruled that "in a capital case, where the defendant is unable to employ counsel, and is incapable adequately of making his own defense because of ignorance, feeble mindedness, illiteracy, or the like, it is the duty of the court, whether requested or not, to assign counsel for him.
If the defendant is ordered to appear at a linuep, he certainly may appear there accompanied by counsel, if he wishes. However, unless questioning is going to take place, if he has already been advised of his 5th Amendment rights and signified that he does not wish to answer questions, it's not clear what the attorneys presence would serve.
The Sixth Amendment in the United States Constitution guarantees the right to legal counsel for individuals accused of a crime. This right ensures that everyone has a fair trial and adequate representation in court.
Huh? If you haven't been arrested yet, you're not even a defendant, why do you even have counsel?

The difference between the prosecution and counsel for defence is that the prosecution is the body that is representing the plaintiff who tries to convice the judge/magistrate that the defendant has committed crime while the counsel for defence is the body that is representing the defendant who tries to convince the judge/magistrate that the defendant has not committed any crime.
Ineffective counsel refers to a situation where a defense attorney's performance falls below the standard of competence expected of criminal defense attorneys, resulting in a violation of the defendant's constitutional right to effective assistance of counsel. This can include errors in investigation, strategy, communication, or presentation of the case. In such cases, a defendant may have grounds to appeal their conviction or sentence.
