He went to islands a part of Cuba. He returned to Spain. He later came back to Florida. He died in Florida while searching for the Fountain of Youth.

Juan ponce de leon was a spanish explorer who led the first european expedition to florida. His route took him from Puerto Rico to San Salvador and The Bahamas. From there he made it to the east coast of Florida, then back down and around Florida. From there he went across the Gulf of Mexico back towards home.
