Town's were much smaller then, than they are now. The towns were full of craftsmen and tradesmen and it is estimated around 5000 people lived in one town.

Storment in northern Ireland was used by the Germans find the way to the shipyards in Belfast. Buckingham Palace was also bombed in ww2 but this only served the propaganda war.
