The US Marine Corps is an arm of the US Navy. It has less aircraft than the USN, and although it uses most of the naval aircraft, e.g. Corsairs in WW2; A-4 Skyhawks, F-8 Crusaders, F-4 Phantoms, A-6 Intruders, A-7 Corsair II's, etc., all from the Vietnam War...those jet aircraft were used for tactical air strikes to support the Marines fighting on the ground. Marine aircraft are used to support Marines. The Marine Corps is smaller than the it's parent Navy, and has a smaller air force. During the Viet War, USN & Marines flew the same aircraft: the USN bombed North Vietnam; the US Marines bombed South Vietnam in support of their Marines.

Well the Marines do have the F-18 fighter jet, so I'm going to say yes. ANS 2 -The US Marines have always had an excellent air assault divisions since end of WW2. They currently have heavily armed attack helicopters and large combat helicopters.

US Marines were withdrawn from Lebanon. The marines were withdrawn from Lebanon A+ answerThe Marines were withdrawn from Lebanon
Tough question, and not designed to improve Anglo-American relations, so I'll have a Walfdorf Salad and say that both are very tough, and I would not want to get on the bad side of either. The US Marines are a much larger unit than the UK Royal Marines, but the US is a much larger country, so it may come out much the same in terms of individual toughness.
There isn't much of a difference as the Marines are both water and ground based Only major differences are ranks, boot camp is harder in Marines, and Navy is all Sea.
1. The Army - The Department of US Army2. The Air Force - The Department of US Air Force3. The Navy - The Department of Navy4. The Marines - The Department of Navy, Office of the USMC5. The Coast Guard - The US Coast Guard, Department of Homeland SecuritySome argue that the National Guard is also a branch of the US Military, however unless they are deployed, the National Guard is a part of each state's executive branch. This in no way minimizes the mission they perform.
The President of the US is Commander in Chief of all US military forces.
