Mice and cats were very common. Although the mice were useful many Aztec peoples did die of disease from the mice, and a traditional tale of Warrior Rats if often thought of as Aztec symbol.
To my knowledge, the Aztecs never had horses. They certainly didn't have them until the Spaniards came in 1519, because the Spaniards brought the horse to Mexico. I doubt the Spaniards would have allowed the Aztecs to get horses, so they wouldn't have had horses. Besides, they were too busy defending against the invaders to steal horses from the Spaniards. They only had two years before the civilization was destroyed, and they were desperately trying to understand the Spaniards' battle plans, while trying to save their culture and fend off attacks. Admist all this they had to produce weapons, get food, train soldiers, and educate children, so getting horses would have been the last thing on their mind. Besides, at first they may have thought that the horses with men on top were centaurs (that's where my Social Sciences teacher says the centaur originated from, although not in Mexico).
No. When the conquistadores came on the scene with their horses the Aztecs were
terrified as they had never seen horses before.

The management of farms and farm animals is called farming. There are many different types of farms. There are cattle farms, horse farms, food production farms and pig farms, to name a few.
The Aztecs used basic farming tools such as digging sticks, planting sticks, and hoes made from wood, stone, or bone. They also utilized irrigation techniques like chinampas (floating gardens) to grow crops in the shallow waters of lakes. Additionally, the use of compost and crop rotation helped maintain soil fertility and productivity.
