Barack Obama's Contributions:
1) Barack Obama became the first black president.
2) Barack Obama was nominated for the nobel prize.
3) Barack Obama served a small part of one national level senate.
4) Barack Obama completed his plans to Africa.
5) Barack Obama encourages people to do the right things and not the wrong.
6) Barack Obama gets some people to believe in their dreams and be confidant so they can have a great life.
7) Barack Obama spent his whole life giving to his community.
WOW, is that all you can come up with? Even if that list is accurate (which its not), those 7 items are hardly examples of a great president achieving great things. It's more like someone is digging really deep to try and find anything to make his presidency look positive and successful.
1) Being the first African American to be president is NOT a contribution to society, it's an accomplishment for Barack Obama.
2) Being nominated for a Nobel prize is NOT a contribution to society, it's an accomplishment for Barack Obama.
3) "Barack Obama served a small part of one national level senate." What?
4) Completing his plans to Africa (whatever that means), is NOT a contribution to society, it's an accomplishment for Barack Obama.
5) Obama encourages people to do the right thing? That is a contribution to society? Give me a break.
6) Same as #5
7) This might qualify as a contribution, but it's not entirely true. Obama did not become president because ho wanted to give to his community, he did it for the power and the chance to make America a socialist state.
So far, Obama has been a complete failure - even his own supporters are jumping ship by the thousands because instead of making the right choices and following his heart, every choice he makes is based on whether it will help him win a second term or not. Pathetic, and an embarrassment for the Democrats.
He has made people that do nothing and contribute nothing feel good about themselves. It used to be that you needed to do something to feel good about yourself. It used to be that you wanted to achieve. Neither is a virtue anymore thanks to him.
Soon, we will be a powerful a nation as Thailand or Uzbekistan.
President Obama has been an inspirational figure for many young people, as America's first black president. He has also promoted international diplomacy, and won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for doing so. Since the president has only been in office for one term, it is difficult to know how his presidency will affect the entire world, but we do know that many countries impacted by terrorism were pleased that he was able to direct a successful mission to kill Osama bin Laden and diminish Al Qaeda's strength.
Among other things, he ended the war in Iraq, supervised the mission that killed Osama Bin Laden, prevented the country from going into a Depression, rescued the American auto industry, and expanded access to health care for millions of Americans. And whether you agree with his politics or not, the fact that he was the country's first black president is a very important symbol of achievement that has inspired many people.
Obviously, this requires an opinion, and if you ask Mr. Obama's political opponents, they would point out what they believe are his faults, such as the slow recovery of the economy or the continuing deficit; his opponents would thus say he has not accomplished very much, beyond the historical fact of being the first black president in US history. But his supporters would disagree. They would say he has many tangible achievements: for example, he was the first president in decades to expand health care access to millions of Americans, he rescued the auto industry when it was on the verge of bankruptcy, and the killing of Osama Bin Laden occurred under his supervision. He also ended US involvement in Iraq and brought most of the troops home. And his supporters credit him with policies that prevented the US from slipping into an economic Depression.
The idea that we shouldn't allow anyone to "go it alone", even though we have the constitutional right to.
