Like everyone else he was a man with flaws but by most accounts he was a good person. He was polite and open minded. He was the youngest president so he had to have a lot of determination. He was also described as charismatic and bold.
It just depends on who you ask. Some saw him as a Messiah of his times; others thought of him and "a road bump on the Highway of History." Oh, he was popular with the younger crowds but cautious older people saw a Caution Flag when his name came up. At the time of his sad death, he had fallen from favor with allot of Americans part of his political strange behavior might be attributed to his back problems, and the medications he took. He even had his famous wooden rocking chair he sat in, to alleviate his back pains while at work. We'll never know. He is perhaps best known for his "Ich bin ein Berliner" comment, discussing the Berlin Wall during a visit to West Germany and the plight of the German people with Russia still occupying Berlin at the time.
JFK was a very lonely man raised in a large family. He needed compassion and understanding; something his parents or siblings never gave him.
