Best Answer

cmos logic circuit uses particularly pmos or nmos viz. passes strong 1 and strong zero respectively and also degraded zero's and one's in their respective cases of p and nmos

so to remove deggraded output the nmos and pmos are combined together for strong output level

Why is a TTL logic gate faster than a CMOS logic gate?

The switching time (on and off) of the TTL logic gate is very fast in comparison with CMOS logic gate. However, they could not tolerate higher range of power supply.

What are the disadvantages of logic gates?

advantages for and gate

What is a cmos gate?

A CMOS gate is a logical switch used in electronics. CMOS stands for Complimentary Metal Oxide Silicon. These types of semiconductors have a very high input impedance, are very sensitive use low current and work over a larger range of voltage. The alternative is TTL(Transistor to Transistor Logic) which work at 5volts only and draw higher currents. A gate, is a switch that changes state (on/off) depending on the logic voltage levels applied to it's inputs.

Is cmos is static complementary logic?

No. CMOS stands for Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor. Basically, it is a transistor formed by semiconductor bar to which an electrode (gate) attaches. This gate is isolated from the bar. A voltage on the the gate will create an electrostatic field that will prevent the current to circulate along the semiconductor bar. CMOS transistors are mostly used for digital (binary) application and consume very little current.

Transmission gate is non restoring or full restore logic?

Non restoring

How you will compare pass transistor with transmission gate logic?

The use of transmission gates eliminates the undesirable threshold voltage effects which give rise to loss of logic levels in pass transistor logic.

What are the blocks in logic gates?

The blocks in a logic gate depends on the logic family we use.A logic gate is designed using a specific logic family. The logic families can be DTL, TTL, CMOS etc.The blocks are different for different logic families. The various blocks in various logic families are:Diode logic: diodes and resistorsDTL logic : diodes and resistorsTTL logic : transistors and resistorsNMOS logic: only NMOS FETsPMOS logic: Only PMOS FETsCMOS logic: Both NMOS and PMOS FETsBiCMOS Logic: both transistors and FETs.

What is an AND gate?

An AND gate is a logic gate performing a Boolean logic AND operation.

What is universal logic gate?

universal logic gate is a gate using which you can make all the logic gates there are two such gates NOR gate and NAND gate

What are the advantages of nand gate?

because it is an universal gate that control and repairs other gates.

How can you implement c-bicmos using nand gate?

draw its cmos equivalent and give its output to pull up bjt.then draw nmos block of the logic and connect its drain to

Is an electronic device that can serve as a gate or switch for an electrical signal?

yes The logic gates AND OR NOT ExOR can be used as gate for electrical signal whether it may D.C value or A.C signal. Both can be processed by a digital circuits . the logic gates are fabricate from cmos transistor. and they perform logical operation on applied signal
