Species have a lifespan, just as individuals within a species. If you, or any other creature, live long enough, eventually you will die.
Individuals of a species that live in an area are called population.
If individuals in a species never reproduce ,it would mean an end to that species on earth
If all individuals in a species were sterile the species would become extinct
they can inter breed and produce fertile offspring.
Because if all of the individuals had the same genetic information then if the species was introduced to a new disease or environment the individuals have the possibility of all dying. If a select few individuals had different DNA that allowed them to be resistant to a disease then they would be able to survive and save the species from extinction.
A population is all the individuals of one species that live in the same area at the same time. OR All the organisms of the same group or species, which live in a particular geographical area, and have the capability of interbreeding.
