Chevy Cavalier or Olds Calais...

Both the 2.2 and 2.4 liter four cylinder engines in a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier use a timing CHAIN
Sizes of the engines in the 1995-2005 Chevrolet Cavaliers are either a 2.2L I4, a 2.3L I4, or a 2.4L I4.
The 2.2 and 2.4 litre four cylinder engines in a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier have a timing CHAIN
In 2000, the Chevrolet Cavalier only came with two different four cylinder engines. The 2200 sfi, one of those engines, is a 2.2 litre OHV pushrod four cylinder.
the engine in a cavalier has been the same thing for all years since the late 80's. i accually just used a head from an 89 cavalier on a 95, so yes the engine should bolt right in. besides the obvious body difference in the two years, the engines are exactly the same.
Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and Cadillac had the same bolt pattern. Chevrolet is different.
As far as i am aware the engines and transmissions are interchangeable between 99-02 cavalier z24's as long as the are both z24 cavaliers.
The following Chevrolet trucks have diesel engines: Chevrolet Series D V8, Chevrolet "small block" V8, Chevrolet W V8, Chevrolet Generation 3, Chevrolet Stovebolt.
Any Chevrolet or GMC dealership.
Chevrolet funny cars use V8 engines mostly. These engines are designed for high performance cars like the Chevrolet, Ford, and the Chrysler. A lot of the funny cars used the 426 cubic inch Hemi produced by Chrysler.
New engine? Dealer. Used engine? Salvage yard. There are also some places that sell rebuilt engines. A Google search is in order.
No. Most years, Chevrolet offered at least 3 different engines for the Cavalier, plus they changed engine options every time thebody style was changed.
The company that manufacturers the engines for Chevrolet cars is General Motors (GM). Chevrolet has bought GM a while ago, that means that both companies work togheter.
yes they are the same engines.
Both Cavalier engines, the 2.2 & 2.4 in 2000 are DOHC.
All Mazda B series engines are interchangeable.
most body and interior parts should be the same. Engines are different.
speed wise the Chevy engines are better but build for strength wise the olds wins.
The Chevrolet 350 small block has been produced for 35 years and is sought after. Another engine is the stove bolt 6 cylinder Chevrolet engine. The Camero LZ1 is another of Chevrolet's innovative engines.
Yes there the same engines. Geter done.
They each have several engines available. My vote goes to the Chevrolet small block.
The Engines in the Astro Vans are Cast-Iron, this includes the 4 and 6 cylinder engines in all years of production.
