What are characteristics of the leopard?

Snow Leopards are beautiful creatures. They are all white with brownish or black spots. They also have a black stripe that goes down their back. They have blue or almost gray eyes. The Snow leopards live in places such as: Asia, Himalayas, Altai, and Windu Kush. Snow Leopards live in mountain Stepps and forests. They like high altitudes, (5900 - 18000 feet). They usually live in the mountains during the winter and forests/meadows during the summer. For their food source, these animals like to hunt wild Sheep, Bharad, the blue sheep, Wild boar, Gazelles, hares, and deer. When they pounce on they're pray, they can pounce up to 600 meters. A Snow leopards behavior is different, they don't roar, Snow leopards tend to make sounds that are reminiscent of other large cats, they can moan, hiss, growl and yowl. They only pair during mating season witch is spring and early summer. they are also nocturnal, but they are most active in the early morning and early evening.

Snow Leopards are endangered (300 - 1000). People are poaching them for their fur. We are also destroying their habitat buy mining and deforestation.

Things we can do to save Snow leopards, are: you can adopt them, you can buy things from the people in the Cat areas so the people wont kill the snow leopards for a living. Things you could buy are: They can also be put in a reserve so they can be conserved. We can also discourage others from buying the furs of snow leopards (and others) so then the business selling the furs would go out of business. That means they would discontinue to kill animals for their furs.
