Okay that person was an idiot! Here let me help i live close to lake Erie so i might have a few facts about all the lakes :)

  1. The Niagara River, including Niagara falls, connects Lake Erie to Lake Ontario
  2. The St. Lawrence River connects Lake Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean.
  3. The Detroit River connects Lake St. Clair to Lake Erie
  4. The St. Clair River connects Lake Huron to Lake St. Clair.
  5. The St. Marys River connects Lake Superior to Lake Huron
  6. The Chicago River and Calumet River systems connect the Great Lakes waterways to the Mississippi Valley waterways through man-made alterations and canals
  7. Dispersed throughout the Great Lakes are approximately 35,000 islands
  8. Pleasure boats can also enter or exit the Great Lakes by way of the Erie Canal and Hudson River in New York. The Erie Canal connects to the Great Lakes at the east end of Lake Erie (at Buffalo, NY) and at the south side of Lake Ontario (at Oswego, NY).
