∙ 14y agoIf you are referring to the fresh water Parrot Cichlid its main characteristics are its deformed mouth and its inability to breed. This fish is a 'made in the laboritory' species made by "evil" scientists in Taiwan and as such, it does not have a proper 'Taxonomic name' nor will it ever be given one. It does not and can not occur in nature. I have heard rumours that the fish has been bred but since I can find no confirmation of this, I still believe the fish to be capable of producing ova and spermatozoa but both ova and spermatozoa are sterile so they can not be bred.
