All three Schnauzer breeds (Miniature, Standard and Giant) are related to the German Pinscher. The German Pinscher is the ancestor of the Miniature Pinscher and both the Miniature Schnauzer and the Standard Schnauzer are essentially wire-hair versions of the Miniature and German Pinschers. In developing the Standard Schnauzer (and subsequintly the Miniature Schnauzer) from the German Pincher the German Poodle was probably used too.
Are American miniature horses the same as a falabella?
No. They are differnet breeds. Falabella are from Austria and Miniatures are from everywhere. I don't know how Miniaures came to be.
