we overthrew the queen of Hawaii but we bought Alaska from the Russians.
The two are drastically different states. Alaska is one of the largest landmasses on the planet while Hawaii is one of the smallest. Alaska is far north and has frigid temperatures while Hawaii is more south and has tropical weather. Alaska has a higher Native American and European population while Hawaii has a higher Asian population. Alaskans tend to speak English more than Hawaiians as well.
