The larger the wedding the more problems you could have. It is also wise to have a signed contract AND any changes to this contract (example: a change in flowers, decorations, etc.) should be initialed by the bride/groom or family member so you can cover your own backside. Otherwise they will blame you and refuse to pay! I have a girlfriend who has her own floral business and she had this problem and I suggested the above and she's had no problems since. If you love to plan wedding events this could be a lucrative business for you, but it's advisable to go into it with eyes open, a good partner you can rely on and have connections to good photographers and back-ups for decorating and also at least two good catering services to back you up if you should fall short.
