By continental cuisine I assume you mean European continental cuisine. British cuisine is a subset of this as are French, Italian, Belgian , German, Spanish. Each country in Europe contributes to a continental cuisine. However in Britain what is referred to as continental cuisine is often a British interpretation of French cuisine very often imperfectly rendered.
If you do a web search on "Belgian proof marks", one or two sites will have examples you can look at.
Cajun food is spicy. Crawfish, andouille sausage,boudin, jambalaya, and gumbo are cajun dishes.

It's a salad that includes examples of ingredient from more than one cuisine. Such as potato salad with waterchestnuts chopped into it. Another example is slaw with an Asian dressing.
