I guess it depends on what you mean by "major cities" Chicago is the 3rd Largest in the US with ~2,900,000, St. Louis has the 16th largest metro area in the US with ~2,800,000, Detroit is the 10th largest US city with ~900,000, Indianapolis is the 12th with ~800,000, and Columbus is 15 with 730,000.
