yes it is recommended you do exercise through pregnancy but it needs to become more low impact the further along you get - swimming is an excellent form of exercise. Warning though, do not start strenuously exercising if you did not do that form of exercise before pregnancy. Pregnancy is not the time to start a exercise program but if you do feel you would like to start exercising now start with gentle walking for the first trimester - and absolutely no core workouts like sit ups. Please talk with your doctor though to make sure before starting any exercise program.
